Littered around the island on the streets of Venice you will find something most interesting throughout – it is the beautiful and unique art called the FantaSea Venice. It is a collection of fiberglass statues throughout the island featuring 30 seahorses and 22 mermaids. You can’t miss them when you go down town – since each piece of art is truly unique and interesting.
What is the point of these art pieces?
Each piece of art has been sponsored by local artists / business and placed in strategic approved locations throughout Venice Island. It is the 3rd public art display that the Venice Art center has produced and will remain in each location until April 2023. The project was put together to help fundraise and support the Venice Art Center and it’s art programs for local artists. If you didn’t know yet, Venice, Florida itself has some of the most amazing artists. If you have had the chance be lucky enough to attend one of the local craft art shows, you will be amazed with how much talent is in this location. I know I was.

You can download the app Scavify to your phone and search “Venice Quest – FantaSea Mermaids & Seahorses Quest” – There you will find detailed instructions on where to go – check in and take a photo of each unique piece of art!
